When I lived in Detroit, I taught Become A Mystery Shopper Classes through community education centers. Sadly, with the economy in Michigan looking so grim, many of those centers closed after losing state funding,
and I, missing the mountains and fresh greenery, moved back to Seattle.
Ronda Ackerson still teaches in the Detroit area, and you can find her classes by going to her site: Just the Facts Mystery Shopping Consultants.
In the Seattle area, we have Doug Rector, of Northwest Loss Prevention Consultants. (A great company to work for, by the way!)
I am just now beginning to build a list of Community Education instructors, so if you know of other teachers in your area, please tell me about them! I think it’s imperative that new shoppers learn from those of us who have been in the industry, and I’m always happy to shamelessly promote people who do good work!
If you're in the Seattle area, and interested in meeting with me for a personal consultation, group class, or training, just contact me! I'll be happy to arrange something that suits your needs and schedule.
Don't forget, my "Become A Mystery Shopper" Training program goes over everything you need to know to get started. It's based off of my classes, and comes with interactive quizzes, as well as a 117 page book to help you get started. Plus, you have the added benefit of being able to watch and re-watch it anytime you need motivation or a refresher! Currently it's 25% off the list price, so you can get it now, and start shopping tomorrow!
